  • Ceremony for honoring students each semester
    On behalf of the Dean of College of Business Administration, 111 students were awarded and honored for their excellence at Kuwait Towers. The Dean showed his great satisfaction and happiness by appraising those students publicly.

  • Distributing Lockers for the students
    Members of the Dean’s List Council and the administration kindly distributed lockers for the students in order to make them more comfortable. This will eliminate them from carrying unnecessary books and other stuff during classes.
  • A visit to the President of Kuwait University
    The honor students were eager to visit Dr. Fayza Al Khurafi, who was the president of Kuwait University in order to talk about crucial academic issues regarding the university. She gladly invited them and appraised them for their performance. Dr . Fayza encouraged them to continue with their excellence.

  • Recycling
    The members of the Dean’s List Council did an outstanding job at the university level. By recycling papers and cans, their accomplishment were recognized bothinside and outside of Kuwait. They have distributed trashcans especially for papers at the university, and have made a deal with a company to recycle the papers collected. They received a couple of awards, and have won 2nd place in Kuwait for saving the environment. This activity clearly shows the great concern the members have towards the environment. To leave a permanent memory of the great activity, the member planted a beautiful and growing palm tree at the university.

  • Honor Students Week
    The Dean’s List Council organized a week for their fellow honor students where their work and accomplishment can be recognized. A couple of private and government organizations participated in this week.

  • Designing and Creating a Logo for College of Business Administration
    The Dean’s List Council organized a competition called “Create and Win” that allows creative students to come up with a permanent logo representing the College of Business Administration. The point of this competition is to encourage the students to show their creativity and increase their spirit. The administration and students will choose the best logo. After that, the winner will be awarded.

  • Graduation Rings
    Students had a chance to have class rings that have their graduation year, name, logo and major name engraved on the ring. Moreover, they can choose to put the stone they liked based on their birth month for example. This activity was a great success. It creates a sense of belonging to Kuwait University and it increases the student’s spirit.

  • Welcoming the new Dean of College of Business Administration:
    The Dean’s List Council and The Rabta kindly held a welcoming gathering, with a bouffet, in the cafeteria to welcome our new Dean, Dr. Adel Hussainan. They presented him with a thoughtful gift as a memory.

  • Trips
    To build a stronger bond between the members of the council, several trips were organized to introduce families of the members to each other as well with the administration. Some of the trips were to the following:
    • Scientific Center
    • Sea Dolphins Show
    • 3D movie
    • Cruising in a boat around Khaleej Beach

     

  • Patriot Week
    During the war of "Iraq Freedom", Kuwait went through rough time with neighboring and international countries. Anti- Kuwaiti press caused Kuwaitis to feel unloved and unaccepted by other nations. That is why a step was needed to be taken in order to support and restregthen the spirit and patriotism of every individual within Kuwait. The DLC, therefore celebrated a week of patriotism that will never be forgotten by CBA. For the first time all of the CBA community was gathered in one area singing with the young children who sang the most popular song during that crisis period. Moreover, there was an exhibition with different organizations such as the civil defense and POW organization. The DLC had more than 5 booths each displaying different aspects of Kuwait. A guest book was signed by everyone and handed to the Amir.

     

  • Anti-Smoking Campaign
    With the rapidly increasing number of smokers around the world and the effect of smoking not only to the smoker himself but also to people around him and to the environment, the DLC arranged a smoking campaign in which various parties concerned with smoking participated in an exhibition introducing different issues related to smoking. Students were encouraged to quit smoking by offering prizes for every smoker who throws his cigarettes away. In addition to that, a squash tournament took place at the end of the campaign in which students and professors competed.

  • Celebrating Ramadan
    Because of the DLC's strong cohesiveness to religion and tradition, the DLC shared the celebration of Ramadan with the students by distributing a small bag that contained the Holy Quran, some prayer books and a "mesbah" that students can use during Ramadan. In addition to that, on the 15th of Ramadan, the DLC celebrated "Qorqe'an" in which it distributed a small basket containing different kind of treats and candies. This did not only show students how the DLC is proud of its traditions, it also created a spirit among the CBA students.

  • London International Youth Science Forum
    Every year the College of Business Administrations participates in the (LIYSF) by choosing one honor student to join the two week program that is held in London. This student, along with 200 students from various countries around the world, gets to attend various interesting lectures related to physics, chemistry, business.. etc where they learn many new, exciting educational things. Moreover, students from different countries get the chance to meet, interact and explore various cultures.

  • "Exhibition for Admission" for High School Students
    The Dean's List Council in cooperation with the Admissions and Registration Department organizes a yearly exhibition for high school students to introduce the various departments and majors in the College of Business Administrations, as well as introducing the Dean's List Council, its goals, activities and programs.

  • Seminar by the Assistant Secretary of US Department of Commerce in Market and Compliance
    The DLC welcomed the Assistant Secretary of US Department of Commerce in Market and Compliance, Mr. William Lash, along with the US embassy delegation, in CBA where a seminar was held by the high level US government speaker Mr.Lash on the topic of "Enhancing US-Kuwait relations through trades". This seminar was an open dialog with the CBA students that represent Kuwait's "next generation" on economic issues of great importance to both Kuwait and the US. This activity was one of the most successful events in CBA, in which more than 300 students and professors attended the seminar and freely discussed different issues with Mr.Lash regarding economic and business issues. The DLC along with the Student Union of CBA organized the seminar, where the President of the DLC of 2003/2004 Najwa Al Bisher was the presenter and host of this intriguing event.

  • Distribution of Daily Planners
    The Dean's List Council produced and provided students and faculty with 2500 copies of a very informative and useful Daily Planner. The Daily Planner incorporates a calendar of the year 2005, a monthly and daily division for students and faculty to organize their schedules or daily plans. In addition, it also provides useful information for its users including phone numbers of the different colleges at Kuwait University, as well as the different departments at CBA. The production of the Daily Planner was sponsored by Taiba Clinic, and was exceptionally printed by Al Nathaer Company.

  • Earth Day
    "Heal the Earth" was the slogan for one of the DLC's most succesful and widely appreciated events, Earth Day. To celebrate the globally known Earth Day, the DLC transformed the halls of CBA into a rainforest atmosphere, with leaves, vines, grass and trees decorating its main lobby. The event also included:
    • Environmental contests: painting and sculptures.
    • A restoration of CBA's Recycling Project
    • The clean-up of one of Kuwait's polluted beaches
    • A seminar concerning Earth and pollution, conducted by Dr. Amine Marafie
