Welcome to my website. My area of specialization is Statistics.
Education:
-
Ph.D. in
Statistics, 2005, University of California,
Riverside
-
Dissertation: “Skew-Normal Distribution
with a Cauchy Skewing Function".
-
Major
Professor: Robert J. Beaver.
-
M.S. in
Statistics, 2002, University of California,
Riverside
-
B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering, 1996, Kuwait
University
Research
Interests:
Distribution
theory and Statistical Inference
-
My major
research interests are in the areas of shape
parameters estimation in skew-symmetric
distributions. This class includes the
skewed normal, and other distributions that
are symmetric when the shape parameters are
zero.
-
Goodness-of-fit and nonparametric
estimation.
-
Statistical
computing and MATLAB development.
Class offerings this
semester:
-
Business
Statistics II QMIS 120
-
Business Forecasting QMIS 320
-
Business Data
Analysis QMIS 420
